Hello, lovelies. Seeing as this is my first post, I feel introductions are in order.
My name is Kaylei, and I am the wife of a U.S. Airman (hopefully soon to be Staff Sergeant!) and soon to be mama to a little boy. Our family follows a nature based religion, and the particular path I follow focuses on the spirituality in everyday things. It focuses on finding the divine in the falling leaves, washing our dishes, the laughter of children, and the food I'm cooking. I want to grow in that, and the first step is to begin really taking care of my family's hearth.
My husband and I have been married for almost four years, and in that time I've tried several times to truly be a good homemaker. I manage to run into a roadblock each time, but I've decided enough is enough. We just moved into a new home, and this is it, it's time to get things down.
My goal with this blog is to hold myself accountable. I want to regularly post recipes, tips, projects, and my own personal struggles. I want to post lots of pictures and updates. I want to have readers that I know are expecting a post. I want to guilt myself into doing my job well. ;)
